After graduating from UC Santa Cruz with a BS in Computer Science: Computer Game Design, I got my start in the industry at Cryptic Studios. I made major contributions to more than 12 expansions of the MMORPG Neverwinter over the years, growing from an associate content designer to the lead of the content team.

In that time I designed and implemented a variety of open world levels, dynamic events, directed and repeatable questlines, tutorialization, and endgame systems. I also wrote much of the dialogue and lore, and created a variety of new characters. As Lead Content Designer I oversaw content release planning and resource allocation, mentored junior designers, and reviewed work from designers and artists while continuing to build features for the game.

After six years at Cryptic, I began my role at Amazon Game Studios, working as a Senior Level Designer helping to launch New World: Aeturnum, and then as Lead Designer: Open World and Quest Content on the Amazon Lord of the Rings project. In that role I defined and implemented the overall game flow, crafted the open world and quest design vision, built out narrative frameworks for the gameplay, and worked closely with studio leadership to iterate on the game direction.
